The Space Applications division of the Institute of Space Technology and Space Applications (ISTA) consists of the Chair of Satellite Navigation (Prof. Pany) and has been working in the fields of global navigation satellite systems (GNSS), precise positioning, inertial and optical navigation and, in particular, for the European satellite navigation system Galileo since 1983.
