Privacy policy
Last updated: 22 October 2026
1. Information collection
MADE in Bavaria, the MADE Network (“we”, “our”, or “us”) collects personal data such as names, email addresses, and professional information strictly for the purpose of organizing and managing our informal networking events.
2. Use of information
The information collected via event sign-ups (including LinkedIn forms) is used exclusively to track event attendance, communicate event updates, and manage the MADE in Bavaria community. We do not sell or share your personal data with third-party advertisers.
3. Third-party platforms
We use LinkedIn to manage event registrations. Please refer to LinkedIn’s Privacy Policy to understand how they process your data when you sign up for our events through their platform.
4. Photos at events
Photos may be taken at our events for documentation and for our website and LinkedIn. If you prefer not to be photographed, just tell a member of the team when you arrive.
5. Your location and settings on this website
The jobs and companies pages can sort by distance. This is optional and starts only when you choose a city from the list or press “Use my location”. Your browser then asks for permission. The position is used in your browser to calculate distances; it is kept in your browser’s storage on your device, rounded to about one kilometre, so the sorting is remembered on your next visit. It is not sent to us or to anyone else, it is not part of the page address, and shared links do not contain it. Press “Clear” next to the location control, or clear this site’s data in your browser, to remove it.
The site also keeps your display choices (language, colour scheme) and, for the length of your visit, the order in which companies were shuffled, in your browser’s storage on your device. These stay on your device and are not used to identify you.
Match me and the role atlas on the jobs board work entirely in your browser. A CV you paste or a CV file you choose (PDF or text) is read on your device and is never sent to us or anyone else. If you use meaning matching, your browser downloads a language model from this site once and keeps it in its cache; the model then runs on your device. What you tell these tools (ratings, marks, the starting point you chose, your answers to the statements, and, if you used one, your CV as a list of numbers, never its text) is kept in your browser’s storage on your device so you can continue later. You can delete it at any time with “Forget everything on this device”, or save it to a file of your own and load it again. None of it is sent to us.
Event pages with online registration embed the registration form of Luma (luma.com), the event platform we use for registration. When such a page is open, your browser connects to Luma, which then receives technical data such as your IP address and processes anything you enter in the form under its own privacy policy.
